As a growing fashion retailer, our client was experiencing difficulties in offering a personalized and smooth online shopping experience. Their E-commerce platform lacked features such as easy product discovery, flexible delivery methods, and customer loyalty management. They required an advanced, efficient solution to simplify product configuration, track loyalty points, and improve product recommendations.

With Odoo’s website builder, we developed a custom E-commerce platform that addressed these challenges. It offered a smooth, engaging, and efficient shopping journey. Our tailored solution improved user experience with features like dynamic product variants, store pickup options, personalized recommendations, and loyalty management, leading to higher customer satisfaction and increased sales.

Challenges

  • Customers were facing difficulties in configuring product attributes before purchasing (Color, size, fit, etc.), which affected their shopping experience and led to missed sales opportunities.

  • The client struggled to integrate an efficient loyalty points system for customers to earn and redeem points since there was no plug-and-play model.

  • A few customers wanted the flexibility to pick up their orders in-store instead of opting for home delivery, but the platform lacked an easy-to-use store pickup option.

  • Customers needed guidance toward similar, available, or suggested products during the purchasing process to avoid frustration and improve their buying experience.

  • The client needed to offer different delivery methods based on product categories or tags (e.g., heavy items requiring express delivery, light items with standard delivery).

  • Tracking gift card usage and balances manually was becoming cumbersome. It led to inefficiencies and potential errors in managing customer transactions and redemption.

Solution

  • We implemented product variants with configurable attributes (Color, Size, Fit) and excluded unavailable combinations. This enabled users to view accurate stock levels and product images, streamlining the product discovery process and enhancing customer satisfaction.

  • Using Odoo's Sales Coupon/Promotion module, we stimulate loyalty redemption, enabling customers to earn points through orders and redeem them with promo codes or discounts. Point tracking was managed internally using partner tags for a seamless customer experience.

  • By configuring the "Pickup at Store" delivery method using Odoo's delivery methods configuration, we offered customers a zero-cost pickup option during checkout, along with real-time stock availability for smooth in-store collection.

  • Using Odoo's cross-sell and upsell features, we enabled dynamic similar, available, and suggested product recommendations. This helped users easily explore alternatives based on product attributes, improving engagement and boosting sales conversion rates.

  • Our team used delivery carrier rules with filters based on product tags (such as "Heavy Item" or "Express Eligible") in Odoo. This dynamically displayed the relevant delivery methods during checkout, ensuring an efficient and personalized delivery experience for each order.

  • Introduced digital gift cards with configurable values, auto-generated codes, seamless checkout integration, and automated expiry tracking. It streamlined redemption and improved backend efficiency.
